Being asked to be the photographer for my cousin’s wedding was such a thrill. Ben and Bec’s wedding was the perfect mix of country charm and heartfelt moments, set against the familiar and beautiful backdrop of Ben’s parents’ backyard in Biloela. Their day was filled with love, laughter, and some uniquely ‘them’ touches that made it truly special.
In true country style, Bec made a grand entrance, arriving at the ceremony in the bucket of a tractor—definitely a first for me as a wedding photographer! The joy and excitement on Ben’s face as he saw her was unforgettable. Their ceremony was intimate and filled with emotion, surrounded by family, friends, and the beauty of the outdoors.
After they became husband and wife, we ventured out for their bridal portraits, making the most of the gorgeous rural scenery. We started on the family farm, where rolling fields and rustic landscapes provided the perfect backdrop, before heading to the local golf club for some variety. The golden afternoon light was just magical, making for some stunning photos that truly captured their love and connection.
And, in keeping with their fun and down-to-earth personalities, Ben and Bec’s exit was just as memorable as Bec’s entrance—they drove off as newlyweds in a cattle truck driven by Ben, a fitting send-off for a couple whose love story is as strong and steady as the life they’ve built together.
It was an absolute joy to capture these moments for them, and I couldn’t be happier for Ben and Bec as they start this next chapter together!
