The Process
When to Book
The best time to book your maternity session is between 29 and 35 weeks. You will be fairly mobile at this time and have a beautiful belly. However, if your schedule doesn't fit within this timeframe, let me know and we can work within your timeline. For motherhood sessions, anytime is a good time to book however, definitely think about what stage your baby is at. Are they a newborn? Can they hold their head up? Can they sit unassisted? The answers to these questions will determine the images we can get from our time together.

Consultation
Getting the photographs you dream about all comes down to communication. After you book your session, we will come together to discuss what you would like to get out of your session. We will discuss posing, wardrobe, lighting, and style for your session. We will also discuss the location for your session - whether you want it to take place in the studio, in your home for motherhood sessions, or if you would prefer an outdoor location. I want you to have gorgeous photos you will cherish for a lifetime.
Wardrobe
"What will I wear?" I hear you cry. I have a selection of draping fabrics we can use to create gorgeous dresses and styles and you can also bring along your own clothing such as jackets, dresses, robes, bodysuits, etc.
Hair & Makeup
If you are proficient in doing your own hair and makeup, I encourage you to do so. Some women find the process of doing their own hair and makeup to be relaxing and can help them get into the zone. Alternatively, you can hire a professional to pamper you and create the amazing look you're wanting.
Your Photo Shoot
The day has arrived and it's time for your moment in the spotlight. I want you to feel calm and relaxed, empowered and beautiful. I will guide you through everything and together we will create beautiful photos.
Editing & Photo Selection
Your photos will be professionally retouched and edited in-house. Realistic retouching is incredibly important to me so I will always edit your photos to show you in your best light but never to be an unrecognizable doll. You will be invited back to the studio for your private viewing session where you get to select the photos you would like to purchase. There is no pressure to buy as I want you to leave knowing you have selected photos that you love.
Print Your Photos
Two of the portrait collections I offer include your selected photos in print and digital format, packaged in a beautiful reveal box. I also offer framed prints for hanging on your walls. Frames are available in multiple colours to suit any home decor and multiple layouts to fit your gorgeous photos.
