1. Where can I have my formal session?

The choice is yours as long as the location you choose is in Gympie. However, if your location is outside of Gympie please let me know and I will see if I can accommodate your request. Locations outside of Gympie or sessions that involve more than one location will be subject to travel fees. Previous locations I have used include Memorial Park, Madill Park, Gunabul Homestead and the Valley Rattler train station as well as private homes, gardens, backyards and paddocks. Memorial Park is often extremely busy at formal time and it can be difficult to completely avoid getting other people in the background of your photos so keep that in mind if that is a location you’d like to use. Also, locations that are a business or private property will require permission from the owners for us to photograph there and some places may even require a donation or fee. It is the responsibility of the client to organise a location and pay any fees for the use of a location.

 

2. I want to use more than one location for my session. Can I do that?

Yes. However, please be sure to allow for travel, parking and photography time. Travel outside of Gympie will incur a fee of $80 for every half hour of travel time (travel time includes travel to the location and back to Gympie). Keep in mind that some locations such as Memorial Park are usually extremely busy and it can be very difficult to find a park and an area to photograph in a timely manner.

 

3. How many people can be involved in my session?

As many as you like. Feel free to invite your friends and family along. It’s great if you can give me a general idea of the number of people so that I can plan your session time appropriately. 

 

4. I want my session to include my partners friends and family too. Can I do that?

Absolutely. I recommend selecting the 60 minute session so we can devote time to your friends and family and your partners friends and family equally. Alternatively, your partner can book their own session. I will need an email address for your partners family so I can send them a link to the online gallery and they can make their own photo selection.

 

5. I want to include my pet in my session. Is that possible?

Yes! Pets are a part of the family, so if you’re having your session at a location that accommodates animals, I would love for them be there.

 

6. What’s the process/when do I select a package?

First thing is to do is to let me know the date of your formal then we can work out a time for your session. To book, you will need to pay

the session fee and sign an agreement so you will need to work out if you would like to book me for 30 minutes or 60 minutes. On the day of your formal we will meet at your location at the time you have booked and we’ll have a great time photographing you and your loved ones - bring on your best poses! After your session I will upload your photos to my computer and cull out the photos that didn’t work out (blinking etc). I will then do a basic edit of your photos, upload them to an online gallery and email the gallery link to you. You will then be able to select all of the photos you love and would like to purchase. After I have received your selection I send you an invoice for the corresponding package and any extra images you may have selected outside of a package and once I have received payment I will continue the editing process and deliver the completed photos to you via Dropbox.

 

7. How long to I have to select my photos? Do you delete the photos I don’t choose?

You will have seven days to select your photos from the online gallery. After this time has passed, the gallery will be archived and a fee of $50 will be required to reactivate the gallery. You will have access to that gallery for another seven days but after that time has expired, the gallery will be deactivated again. You will receive an email alert a day before your gallery is due to be deactivated. I keep everything on file so if you ever want to come back and buy more photos from your session at a later date you can.

 

8. What can I expect with your editing?

All of my photos are hand-edited by me. My editing style can be described as ‘vibrant’ and ‘true colour’ which means the colours you see in my photos are exactly how they are in real life - with the exception of black and white edits, of course. I may add in a little lens flare, grain or haze to make the photo more dramatic but mostly your photos will be true to life. I will edit out pimples and fix makeup mishaps but I will not remove scars, moles or freckles as they are a part of you - unless you request it. However, I will need to know this when you select your photos/before I start the final editing process. There may be a separate charge for extra editing.

 

9. My formal is late in the year. Will I have my photos before Christmas?

Yes. I always endeavour to get your photos to you before Christmas. If something such as illness, injury or emergency, prevents me from

doing that I will let you know as soon as possible. 

 

10. My formal is late in the year. Will À la carte menu items be here before Christmas?

Products from my à la carte menu are made in Australia at a professional print lab and are of very high quality. Due to the high influx of orders at the print lab for this time of year, I cannot guarantee delivery of your items before Christmas.
