Pregnancy and motherhood are easily one of the most life-changing events that could happen to a woman. And it is truly one of the most beautiful.
Capturing the beauty, strength, and joy of this time through the art of photography is something I am so passionate about and I can't wait to photograph you.
The Process
When to Book
The best time to book your maternity session is between 29 and 35 weeks. You will be fairly mobile at this time and have a beautiful belly. However, if your schedule doesn't fit within this timeframe, let me know and we can work within your timeline. For motherhood sessions, anytime is a good time to book however, definitely think about what stage your baby is at. Are they a newborn? Can they hold their head up? Can they sit unassisted? The answers to these questions will determine the images we can get from our time together.
School Formals
The school formal season comes but once a year and what a wonderful time of year it is!
You get to say farewell to 12 years of school life while you and your friends dressed to the nines - nice ;)

School formal time is incredibly busy and we need to make sure we have a spot available for you and your crew. Send an email me with your details including name, date and school at info@photodesignbyhannah.com and I will let you know my availability and send you a pricing pdf to browse. If you want to go ahead, we move onto the next step.
Book Your Session
School formal sessions book out quickly so I recommend you book your session in as soon as you can after your school releases the date for your formal. To secure your date, I require a non-refundable booking fee to be paid at the time of booking and an agreement to be signed. Without both of those, your session is not booked and you risk the session you wanted being allocated to another client. Once those two things are completed, though, you are fully booked in and we can start planning your session.
Your Session
Sessions usually take place between 2pm and 5:30pm and are either 30 or 60 minutes long. The later your session is in the afternoon, the better the lighting will be but those slots are popular so you must book early. It is vital to consider the location for your session. Places such as Memorial Park in Gympie are incredibly busy at formal time and it can be difficult to get photos without other people in the background. It can also be very difficult to get a car park! I encourage the use of places such as private backyard gardens, paddocks and smaller parks such as Madill Park.
It is also important to think about who you would like present during your session. You may like to include your parents, siblings, grandparents, your formal partner, your friends and even your pets. Or you can opt to have the session soley focus on you - it's your session after all!
Photo Selection & Editing
After your session, I will upload your photos to my computer and cull out the photos that aren't up to par (blinking etc.) I will then do a basic edit of your photos and upload them to an online gallery. I will then send you a link to the online gallery and you will have 7 days to select the photos you would like to purchase. After I have received your selection, I will finish the editing process and deliver the photos to you via Dropbox. If you have selected extra photos outside of a package, they will be invoiced separately. All of my photos are hand-edited by me personally. My editing style can be described as 'vibrant' and 'true colour' which means the colours you see in my photos are exactly how they are in real life - with the exception of black and white edits of course.
Print Your Photos
I can't stress the importance of printing your photos enough. All of my packages for formal sessions are digital, however, I do offer a selection
of professional loose prints and framed wall art which are sourced from a professional lab here in Australia and are available at an extra cost.
