Ben | School Formal Portraits

Ben’s school formal session was one of those laid-back, memorable afternoons that just felt right from start to finish.

We captured his portraits in May 2023, shortly before he graduated from St. Patrick’s College. His grandparents’ farm made the perfect setting - wide open space, beautiful afternoon light, and that quiet country atmosphere that always brings something special to a shoot.

Just as we were getting started, a family member rolled up on his motorbike (perfect timing!) and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work it into a few shots. It added a bold, rugged edge to the session that paired surprisingly well with Ben’s formal look - and made for some really epic portraits.

Ben wore a sleek black suit with a black tie, and he pulled it off with total confidence. The contrast of his sharp outfit against the rustic charm of the farm made each shot pop. There was a real “modern gentleman meets country roots” vibe that worked so well.

He was joined by his mum, dad, and his girlfriend Tahlia, which made the session all the more meaningful. You could feel the pride and love coming from all sides - everyone there was beaming.
