Muse Beauty Co. Nail Bar | Logo Design

This logo design was for my niece, Katie, who started her own nail business Muse Beauty Co. Nail Bar in 2024. To say I am proud of her would be an understatement. I have known Katie since she was three and she has grown to be such a lovely, caring young woman. To see her succeeding at life is such a joy.

Katie told me that she liked simple, clean designs with a touch of elegance and that her colour theme was pink and white. She sent me some ideas she spotted on Pinterest which really helped me to see what look she was going for.

Once I had this initial information, I set to work designing a few different concepts. Usually, I keep the options pretty tight but this time my creative juices were flowing and I came up with a number of concepts I wanted to show Katie. I always show my logo concept ideas in black and white so I'm not using up any precious time working out colour. I leave colouring the logo for when my clients select a concept they want to run with. Here are a few of my favourite concepts that Katie loved, but ultimately decided against:

Once Katie had selected the logo design she wanted to go with, I sent her some colours to choose from. There are some fantastic colour palettes available on Pinterest and I sent Katie a few of these in different shades of pink. She selected a lovely light/baby pink as her main colour, a slightly darker pink as her secondary colour and a pretty cream.

The end result was exactly what Katie was looking for. We kept the colours and design simple, stylish, and elegant - just as Katie requested. Katie has her logo in all of her brand colours as well as black and white options. She also has her logo in the three different orientations: Stacked, Round and Long. This way, Katie has her logo ready for use in any situation.
