Taylor’s Session – Leather, Loud Vibes & Being Unapologetically Herself

Taylor is the kind of woman who owns every space she steps into—and our session together was no exception.

She came up from the Sunshine Coast for her shoot, ready to embrace her true aesthetic: moody, edgy, rock-chick realness. We headed straight to one of my favourite hidden gems in Gympie at the time - a gritty, disused building with character in every crumbling wall. Sadly, that space has since been torn down, but I’m so glad we got there before it disappeared. It was the perfect backdrop for Taylor’s bold and unapologetic vibe.

A model through and through, Taylor showed up in a Ghost band tee, a black leather jacket, and the tallest black leather heels I’ve ever seen - honestly, they looked like they belonged on a stage. They were almost too tall to walk in, but that didn’t stop her. She strutted, leaned, and posed with this effortless energy that was entirely her own. Her raven hair flowed wild and free, adding to the raw beauty of it all.

There was something powerful about the whole session - the contrast of her fierce style against the rugged backdrop, and the fact that she never tried to soften herself for the camera. No filters. No holding back. Just Taylor, exactly as she is.

After I delivered her gallery, she messaged me to say these were her favourite photos of herself - not because they were the most polished or posed, but because they felt like her. That kind of response means everything. That’s what these sessions are really about - capturing authenticity, confidence, and the spark that makes each woman completely unique.

Photography isn’t just about making something beautiful. It’s about revealing something real.

And with Taylor, we did exactly that.
